As educators, the philosophy of Maria Montessori and the preschools of Reggio Emilia in Italy strongly influence our vision for Maple Montessori.
The Reggio-Montessori philosophy prioritizes self-direction with a fine arts focus. This philosophy fosters a unique learning environment that encourages children to follow their innate curiosity, to seek relationships with others, and to construct their knowledge and understanding of the world through active engagement. We recognize that to learn and develop, children must be in a secure and positive environment.
Consequently, at Maple Montessori we strive to form nurturing relationships with our students and to provide a curriculum rich in materials and experiences. Our well-prepared and carefully designed centre is enhanced by the support of warm, caring, and well-trained educators. Ultimately, we strive to ignite in our students a passion to become lifelong learners.
